Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium Funding?

Dovecote Primary and Nursery School, like all schools in Nottingham City, receives a Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) for each child who is entitled to receive Free School Meals. The PPG is also allocated for any child who has received Free School Meals at any point in the last six years, any Children in Care (previously called Looked After Children) or any Service Children.

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for FSM and those that are not. Whilst schools are free to spend the Pupil Premium as they see fit we are required to publish online information about how we have used the Premium.

How is the Pupil Premium used?

The documents below show how much PPG the school has received and how it has been spent. There are also details of the intended outcomes of the expenditure and, once year end data analysis has been carried out, impact statements are included.

If you have any questions about how the school utilises the PPG or would like to know more about it then please do not hesitate to contact the School Office.
